Knowing What to Do

If you want answers, seek God's advice

Often in my life I wonder what direction I should go, what I should do, and how I should begin. God's word says, "when I don't give you specified direction, stay put." This is loosely paraphrased. I find this is hard for me to do. Waiting is extremely difficult for me, especially when it feels as if I should be changing course or going a different direction. "My thoughts are not your thoughts" is another verse from the Bible that reminds me that just because I feel something needs to change or be done doesn't mean God feels the same way. I struggle with wanting clear direction RIGHT NOW.

In my life at the moment, I am at a crossroad wondering what I am to do and as I read my Bible today and found these thoughts and words I realized, I am to continue to wait. I am to seek direction but not leap until directed to do so. Probably not even "leap" when the direction is given. More than likely I am to walk slowly and carefully, which I also struggle with. I tend to charge forward, take the bull by the horns and rush into things. God is teaching me to slow down, curb my nature, and wait for His direction. He's been teaching me this for some time, years actually, and I'm finally beginning to understand to trust in Him and wait on Him and it will all work out according to His will. He promises this throughout His word. I believe this is true and I have lived long enough to actually see it proven many times. If only I could curb my "takeover" attitude, I'd probably have a much less stressful life.....

I wish each of you a blessed and peaceful life.
