We know tomatoes are delicious and nutritious, but do we know just HOW amazing they are?

“It's difficult to think anything but pleasant thoughts while eating a homegrown tomato.” Lewis Grizzard

We know tomatoes are packed full of the antioxidant lycopene, which is believed to reduce cancer and heart disease. We know they are a great source of potassium, Vitamin C, Vitamin K and folate. They also reduce stomach acid, even though they are acidic, and I believe they help with brain function.... physically and emotionally.

Vitamin C gives you energy right? It also repairs tissues, helps you absorb iron, boosts your immune system, helps wounds to heal and even prevent attacks of Gout. If tomatoes can repair tissues in the body, help wounds heal, and absorb iron, is it probable to assume tomatoes could also repair brain tissue?

Tomatoes May Just Have Psychological Value

“Could Tomatoes Be The Super Food?”

Tomatoes taste great, look great and do great things for us. They also provide the grower with fresh oxygen, a sense of accomplishment and pride. They help families come together when picking them, are a wonderful, instantly edible food for small and large members of the family and fun for everyone. They come in over 3,000 different varieties and all sorts of shapes and sizes. If you don't just look at their nutritional value but see the forest for the trees, they may just be the most amazing fruit ever disguised as a vegetable! And, their vines can be trained to be garden art, tunnels, mazes and creative decor. Honestly is there a more exciting disguised fruit on the planet?

Adopt a Tomato Plant Today!

They don't cost much, they take very little care, turn out big rewards and create a bonding experience while also being a food! Instead of saying "Go Big or Go Home" I say "Plant Tomatoes or Plant Nothing at All!" Well, actually, I don't say that, but I do say, "Tomatoes are awesome, throw them in the dirt and watch them grow! Share them with your friends and neighbors! Tomatoes bring communities together!" Well, actually I don't say that last part either, but I believe it. Sharing is Caring!
